Tournament Rules
1.)
Tournament
open to USBC sanctioned adult league bowlers.
2.)
Bowlers
may enter in all of the leagues in which they are a member. 3.)
To be
conducted as a singles competition with separate scoring and separate prizes for
Men and Women. 4.)
Handicap
for all levels is 90% of 210. 5.)
A 3 game
series will be bowled at all in-center eliminations and at the State Finals. 6.)
Averages for In-House league qualifying and In-House Eliminations a.
At time
of qualifying use highest current USBC
sanctioned average of 21 games or more. b.
If no
current qualifying average of 21 games or more use highest USBC sanctioned
2007-2008 average of 21 or more games. c.
If no
average under a or b, use highest 2007 summer league average of 21 games or
more. d.
If
no a, b, or c; bowl scratch. 7.)
Bowlers
will advance to the next level, 1 for 2 ratio for In-Center eliminations, 1 for
2 ratio for In-Center finals. 8.)
Entries
for center qualifying end on January 31, 2008. 9.)
Averages for State finals will be: Highest USBC sanctioned average of 21
games or more as of March 15, 2008. If no
current qualifying average use highest 2006-2007 USBC sanctioned average of 21
games or more, if none bowlers bowl scratch.
Bowlers do not have to report a higher average of 10 pins or more at the
time of the State Finals. Failure
to use correct average at the State finals may disqualify scores if submitted
average is lower than correct average, or base prize winnings on submitted
average if higher. Corrections in
averages are permitted up to the completion of the first game. 10.)
USBC
Tournament rule 319c, 319d, and 319e; regarding average re-rating and reporting
prior prize winnings, will apply in their entirety. 11.)
Bowlers
may qualify to bowl the State Finals twice, but may cash only once. 12.)
1st
place cash prize of $500.00 in both the Men’s and Women’s division is
guaranteed. Prizes will be paid at
a minimum of 1 of every 7 state finalist entries. Prize fees will be returned 100%. 1st place ties will share 1st and 2nd
place prize money. Premature
termination of the tournament brought about by war, national emergency or
emergency causes relating thereto or there from, fire, natural disaster or any
other reason beyond the control of the Oregon State Bowling Proprietors
Association shall cause, to the extent required thereby all advertised prizes,
guaranteed or otherwise, to be prorated in accordance with the number of
entrants who have bowled in each of the respective events up to the time of such
termination. Qualifying
Rounds – October 2007 to January 31, 2008. 1.)
Competition
will be open to all USBC adult league members. 2.)
With a
contribution of $1.00, bowlers will fill in their high game score during league
on their entry form. The entry will
then be turned in at the desk. If
bowler beats their average in any game, bowler will be eligible to bowl in the
In-Center eliminations. 3.)
Bowlers
may qualify as many times as they wish for house eliminations. House
Eliminations – Scheduled at center discretion to clear In-Center finals. Cost:
Bowling lineage for 3 games plus expense fee of $1.00 1.)
Averages

may bowl on as many squads as they are qualified for. 3.)
Bowlers
will advance to the next level at a 1 for 2 ratio. In-Center
Finals – Completed by March 15, 2008. Cost:
bowling lineage for 3 games plus expense fee of $1.00. 1.)

Bowlers
may bowl on as many squads as they are eligible for. 3.)
Bowlers
will advance to the State finals at a 1 or 2 ratio. State Finals – May 17, 18, 24, @25, 2008 at Wilsonville Lanes, Wilsonville Cost:
$14.00 ($7.50 lineage, $5.50 prize fund, $1.00 expenses)
State finalists will pay the State Final entry fee of $14.00, which will
be sent to the OSBPA office along with the center report.
